4 Food & Drink Pairings You MUST Try At The Tiki Bar

Wine and seafood, coffee and cake, and beer and barbeque.  Let's take a look at some of the tasty pairings at Citrus Hills.

One of the fun spots to catch some good music and good food here at the Villages of Citrus Hills is our own little tropical paradise that we call the Tiki Bar. It features an authentic tropical thatched roof and dozens of palm trees to create that island atmosphere only a short stroll from home.

With 4,500 square feet of dining and entertainment space and 10 flat screen TVs, The Tiki Bar is the perfect place to kick back and watch the big game or simply gather with friends.

The food and drink menu here is also a key feature that influences the tropical vibe.

No matter when you visit the Tiki Bar, or what personal preferences you might have, there is definitely a food and drink combination that will be a perfect fit both for the occasion and your palate.

In order to make your next few visits to the Tiki Bar that much more festive, here are four of our favorite food and cocktail pairings!

Pulled Pork Nachos & Margaritas

Feeling like Mexican tonight? The Tiki Bar has got you covered with Pulled Pork Nachos and Margaritas!

Those Pulled Pork Nachos start with a base of tropical chips, melted cheese, and pineapple salsa, all topped off with the Tiki Bar’s very own slow-roasted pork!

Nothing pairs with these nachos quite like a frozen margarita. At the Tiki Bar, you can choose from Original, Strawberry, Pina Colada, Mango, or Lemonade flavors that are mixed with Tequila. You can also step up the tequila and upgrade to Patron, which we highly recommend!

Coconut Shrimp & Hula Hula

One of the more popular menu items at the Tiki Bar is the Coconut Shrimp. This island classic will have you feeling like you are in Hawaii dunking your coconut-breaded jumbo shrimp into a sweet chili sauce.

If you’re going with a Hawaiian inspired food, you might try the Hula Hula to drink! This delicious frozen cocktail combines Banana, Pina Colada, and Mango flavors with Dark Rum.

Mixed Green Salad & Key Lime Pie

Looking for a food and drink pairing that is inspired by the Keys?  Definitely start with the shrimp version of the Mixed Green Salad. This is a lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion salad that is jazzed up with carrots, and toasted coconut.

On the cocktail side, the Key Lime Pie jumps off the page as the cocktail that you just have to try. Take a Pina Colada, combine it with a Margarita, and then top it off with Whipped Cream and Graham Cracker Crumbs. It’s spectacular.

Tiki Burger and a Cold Draft Beer

Sometimes you’re just in the mood for a good burger with a cold beer, and the Tiki Bar has definitely got you covered with both of those.  The Tiki Burger comes with your choice of cheese and all of the fixins’ you could imagine.

As for which beer to pair it with, that’s up to you! The Tiki Bar has a wide selection of domestics, imports, and even a rotation of local craft beers available, so ask your server or bartender for their recommendation.

Those are four of our favorite food and drink pairings at the Tiki Bar, but we are honestly just scratching the surface here.  We’ll see you at the Tiki Bar!
