That classic tagline from those old Southwest Airlines commercials could just as well be the motto of the Citrus Hills Vacationers Club. Sometimes, you just need to pack your bags and go on a trip! 

While the Villages of Citrus Hills might possibly be the most fantastic place to live in the entire world, who doesn’t want to get out and see some new places every once in a while? 

The Citrus Hills Vacationers Club is currently working on six different trips that range in length from one single day on the St. Johns River to 13 days in Ireland or 14 days in Alaska. 

Here are some of the great trips currently in the works through the Citrus Hills Vacationers Club: 

Sanford Dinner Cruise

 If you’d like to feel like you are getting away without committing to a full-blown trip, the Sanford Dinner Cruise coming up on Saturday, April 16 is a great option. 

This all-day river cruise takes place on an authentic sternwheel paddleboat along the historic St. Johns River. At $89 per person, your ticket includes transportation from the Activity Center, lunch, and entertainment.

Shades of Ireland

On the other end of the vacation spectrum is a 13-day trip to Ireland. This trip includes stops in Dublin, Waterford, Killarney, Limerick, and Northern Ireland where you will have the opportunity to take in the beautiful countryside, as well as stop in some of the classic Irish pubs! 

The Shades of Ireland trip is scheduled for July 11-23 and will cost $5,079 for a single ticket, but there are discounts available for anyone booking two or three tickets.

Discover Alaska

How about the stunning beauty of Alaska? This 14-day adventure is part land and part sea, as there is a luxury domed train ride and explorations of glaciers and national parks mixed in with an 8-day Holland America cruise. 

The Discover Alaska trip leaves on August 19 and ticket prices range from $3,748 to $4,938 depending on the type of cabin you would like to book. All meals are included in the ticket price. 

Rhine Getaway River Cruise

Another really interesting way to see Europe is to explore the Rhine River regions of Germany and Holland with Viking River Cruises. This 8-day adventure will offer a total of four countries and six guided tours that include Marksburg Castle, Heidelberg Castle, the Black Forest region, and those famous windmills in Holland. 

The Rhine Getaway River Cruise is booked for September 28 and tickets for this getaway start at $3,030 for a standard cabin. Airfare for this adventure needs to be purchased separately.

Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights

One of the hottest vacation destinations in the entire world right now is the beautiful island of Iceland. The Citrus Hills Vacationers Club is going to be spending a little over a week exploring the lava fields, glaciers, waterfalls, and fjords of this stunning country in November.

The rates for this amazing trip to see the Northern Lights start at $3,879 per person with discounts for two or three people. Prices for this trip include airfare. 

MSC Panama Canal Cruise

Since the Villages of Citrus Hills is an easy drive to Miami, it would be hard to leave the cruise ship capital of the world off of our list of upcoming travel events. This 10-day cruise through the Panama Canal features stops in Ocho Rios, Cartagena, Cristobal, Puerto Limon, and Cozumel before returning to Miami.  

The MSC Panama Canal Cruise is scheduled to depart on November 26, and prices range from $936.82 to $1276.82 depending on the type of cabin you prefer. 

With all of these options available through the Citrus Hills Vacationers Club, it’s more likely that you will be struggling to decide which trip to book rather than whether or not to take a trip.
