September Activities At The Villages Of Citrus Hills (Clone)

Once Labor Day weekend has come and gone, the summer is pretty much over.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing for residents of the Villages of Citrus Hills. The month of September brings us the start of fall and a return to our normal schedules. It also brings new opportunities to join many of the local golf and tennis leagues and even some fun community events to attend.

Here are some of the activities and events that you won’t want to miss in the coming month:

Social Events

There will be another Tech 101 seminar in the Activity Center Auditorium at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 4. Guest speakers from PC’s-N-Parts will be discussing many different ways that you can back up all of your electronic data. If you have ever worried about losing all of your favorite pictures to a computer crash, this is a great chance to learn how to avoid that.

On Tuesday, September 16, there will be another edition of Trivia Challenge held in the Hampton Room. Frank and Shari Long and Greg and Charmaine Jagodinsky were the winners of the August Trivia Challenge, and they will look to defend their title this month! Trivia Challenge starts with a cash bar at 5:30 pm, then dinner is served at 5:45 pm and the game show starts at 6:30 pm.

The Tiki Bar will be hosting a New England Social on Tuesday, September 23 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Anyone who has relocated from one of the New England states is invited to attend. This will be a great opportunity to connect with other former New Englanders!

NFL fans will have a special treat this year as the Tiki Bar will be the place to be for all the games. Each Sunday each of our 10 televisions will feature a game broadcast as part of the NFL Ticket! There will be plenty of great drink and food specials to go along with watching your favorite team. So, win or lose, you can’t go wrong.

Sports & Recreation

The Skyview Tennis Center will be holding another Free Beginner Tennis Clinic on Tuesday, September 9. All you have to do to participate is show up wearing tennis shoes. There will be racquets available to borrow and instructors teaching the basics of the game. The clinic will start at 11:00 am.

One of the biggest golf events of the month will be the Labor Day Open, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 13. The event will be played on The Oaks course at Citrus Hills with a shotgun start at 8:30 am. There will be beverages and lunch available after your round.

If you are looking for a more relaxed golf event, you will certainly enjoy the Three Clubs and a Putter event on Sunday, September 21. All golfers participating in this event will be restricted to using only four clubs throughout their entire round at one of the Citrus Hills courses.

For even more golfing excitement this month, there will be a Tiger Mixer on September 11, a Bonnie & Clyde Mixer on September 17, and Duffer’s Mixer on September 28.

Each of these mixers will start at 3:30 pm.

Dinner Specials

In addition to all of the normal dinner specials available at the Skyview Restaurant, there will also be an Italian Night Special and a Brazilian Steakhouse Night Special.

The Italian Night Special will be on Tuesday, September 16 and entrees like Veal Parmesan, Shrimp Scampi, and New York Strip Steak Marsala will be served. The Brazilian Steakhouse Night Special will be on Tuesday, September 23 and will feature your choice of any two from a long list of skewered meats.

On Monday, September 22, the Tiki Bar will be hosing a Last Day of Summer Luau from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The meal will include a Pig Roast, Island Barbecue Chicken, Aloha Sweet Potatoes, Stir Fry Wok Veggies, Seafood Pasta Salad, and Tropical Fruit. There will even be live island music!

The Tiki Bar will also be having specials on appetizers and drinks from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 28 for everyone watching the final day of the Ryder Cup.

Local Community Events

In addition to all of the great things that are happening in the Villages of Citrus Hills this month, there are also lots of great events planned throughout the local area.

Some of these events include Free Admission to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park on Saturday, September 6, a Memorial & Freedom Walk in Inverness on Thursday, September 11, and a Crystal River Talent Show at the Crystal River Mall on Saturday, September 20.

Whether you are looking for a way to meet new people, something to do with the friends you already have, or just a great dinner special, there are plenty of options to pick from both in and around the Villages of Citrus Hills this month.

Make sure you mark your calendars now so you won’t miss out on anything!
