With the combination of nature, water, and history that surrounds the Villages of Citrus Hills, you don’t ever have to go very far to find an interesting activity to occupy your time. Whether your preferences lie in exploring ancient ruins or kicking back at the beach, there really is something for everyone here. 

And by something for everyone, we really mean everyone! If you are looking for an adventure that is a little bit higher on the excitement scale, you will definitely want to check out Canyons Zip Line & Canopy Tours in Ocala. 

As one of the biggest zip line operators in the state, you will find that there are plenty of wild rides to be had here, including the highest, longest, and fastest zip lines in all of Florida. 

But an adventure with Canyons isn’t just a quick ride through the woods. There is so much more to it than that!

The Canyons Full Tour 

The full tour at Canyons is a complete ropes course experience that will have your heart pumping for close to three hours. Your tour will start with some basic information about your equipment and safety techniques, then two guides will lead you through nine zip lines, across two rope bridges, and you will even have the chance to rappel. 

The full tour takes you over a mile of cables and offers some of the most unique views of nature that you will find anywhere.

The Canyons Express Tour 

If the full tour sounds like it might be a bit much for you, there is an express version that includes just a portion of the full tour and can be completed in about an hour and a half. This version takes guests through 5 zip lines and across one rope bridge, and still offers some of the most stunning views you will find in this part of the country. 

Insider Tip: The Express Tour is offered at night from time to time. Zipping over the water at night is one of the most beautiful experiences you will find, so make sure you ask about upcoming night tours!

The Super Zip

In addition to their full and express tours, Canyons now offers what they are calling The Super Zip. This is a 1600-foot long ride that is the highest, fastest, and longest single zip line in all of Florida. 

On The Super Zip, you get to zip head first, which gives you the feeling of flying over the entire canyon. It is available completely separate from the full and express tours, or you can add a ride on The Super Zip to either tour for a discounted price. 

Horseback Riding Tours

Since the Canyon Zip Line property is such a beautiful place to spend the day, and since Ocala is known for its obsession with horses, it is only natural that there would be horseback riding tours available here as well! 

These tours last about an hour and a half and take visitors through all of the most scenic parts of the canyon.

You can also book your reservation right from the website, and while reservations are not required, they are highly recommended if you want to guarantee that there will be room for your entire group.
